Namibia is a country of impressive natural resources in mining, but from an ecological, environmental, or tourism point of view, we are before a country that is a little less than attractive, due to its great desert extentions such as the Desert of Namib.
The Desert of Namib is a symbol of Namibia, not in vain, it gave its name to the county. Regarding nature, the north of the country holds the Etosha National Park, a place that contrasts with the rest of the country for its diversity in fauna and flora. To the east of the country is another desert, the Desert of Kalahari.
Its highest peaks are at Kongstein, with 2600 metres above sea level.
Namibia is a paradise for nature lovers and holds more than half a dozen protected species and natural protected places. Some worth mentioning are Fish River Canyon National Park, Mamili National Park, Mudumu National Park, all of them with impressive things to do and enjoy. You can also go camping in one of these areas.
Don't forget to visit the Skeleton Maritime Land Park, or the Desert of Namib, the symbol for the country.
Regarding its flora and fauna, there are many diverse species you can find here, especially in the north, the area of the Etosha National Park, where you can see rhinos, lions, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and an impressive flora where you can see mopane trees, or acacias.
